This is currently munekawa's most popular wallet.
The L-shaped zipper wallet "Cram" was born from a demand for a compact zipper wallet. As its name suggests, Cram is a mini wallet with more storage capacity than it looks.
The key features of this wallet are its ease of use - you can see your bills, coins and cards at a glance when you open the zipper - and its portability - as it fits easily in your pocket.
It's only 1.7cm thick, so it won't take up much space in your pocket or bag.
There are card holders on the left and right sides with different features.
On the right side there are two card holders.
The left sleeve can hold about five cards at a time.
By placing bills under the coin purse in a U-shape, they are less likely to get caught in the zipper and can be removed smoothly.
The gusset of the wallet itself is integrated with the coin purse, so when you open the wallet, the coin purse section opens wide, making it easier to take out coins.
We use vegetable tanned leather, which has an attractive transparent appearance that allows you to feel the individuality of the leather.
There may be wrinkles or traces of blood vessels, but this does not affect the quality. We hope you will enjoy the different expressions of each piece.

Yes, we can repair it. It will take about 2 to 3 weeks.
[Engraving during production] Due to the structure of the item, it is only possible to engrave the name during production. Since we make the item from scratch, it will take about two months.
[Engraving of finished products] A product where the name is engraved on the finished product. If the product is in stock, it can be engraved in 1-2 weeks.
With the common L-shaped zipper wallets, bills often get caught in the zipper.
To solve this problem, we designed it so that it can be inserted in a U-shape under the coin purse.
The coin purse acts as a stopper, preventing bills from floating up and allowing them to be inserted all the way in.

3年くらい前にブライドルレザーの黒を購入して愛用してます。作りが丁寧だからか、コバの剥がれ、糸のほつれ、型崩れなど全くなく素晴らしいと思います。また、機能的にもお札を下から入れられるのはとても便利です。普段財布は3年から5年くらいで買い替えることが多いのですが、この財布はまだまだ使えそうです。しいて難点があるとすれば、右側のカードポケットが多少取りづらいところと、取っ手の革が痛みやすいことくらいです。良い買い物でした。

In August 2020, Cram was offered as a limited edition in Cordovan colors green and burgundy. Sadly, I missed this limited release. But just 3-4 weeks later Munekawa released Cram in Cordovan colors black, blue, and burgundy. I quickly purchased the burgundy.
The interior leather is not Cordovan (brown type, maybe Maremma?) which provides a beautiful contrast to the burgundy exterior and has become very smooth to the touch after years of use. In contrast, the blue model used blue Cordovan for both the interior and exterior.
The Cram design is very clever, compact, and practical. Cards are very easy to access from both sides, coins are neatly kept in the center, and paper money can be held in 2 orientations adding to its versatility. It can get bulky if too many coins are added or inserted carelessly, so I've gotten into the habit of spreading them out to fill the space evenly which reduces the bulk.
I also keep my IC card on the left and closest to the outside so I can just pull out my wallet and touch it to the sensor before boarding a train. This method works fine for trains and subways, but oddly does not work well on bus IC card sensors for some reason.
After 4 years, I still love this wallet very much. It still looks smooth and beautiful, has aged gracefully, feels good in the hand, and continues to serve its purpose well. If you can't decide which Munekawa product to buy first, I highly recommend a Cram. If you buy 2, get a Grid as well! I recommend visiting the store to see the colors in person, they have examples of well-used models so you can see how they will look with age.
