Thin bi-fold wallet
Bill holder wallet " Carriage"

Carriage is a slim bi-fold wallet created in response to a request for a compact wallet that can also hold cards.

The leather is taut, so it will be puffy at first, but as you start to use it, the leather will become more comfortable and thin to about 9mm. The asymmetrical leather parts hold the bills, allowing you to take them out beautifully and smoothly, and there is no problem with them falling out. The card pocket can hold about 8 cards when the leather is still firm, and as it becomes more comfortable, it can hold up to 15 cards. The wallet is made of vegetable tanned leather, which has an attractive transparent appearance that allows you to feel the individuality of the leather. There may be wrinkles or traces of blood vessels, but this does not affect the quality. We hope you will enjoy the different expressions of each piece.

Features

Munekawa has changed the specifications of its classic money clip wallet, “Carriage,” which has a long history.
The appearance from the outside is almost the same, but the stitching and lining leather have been changed.

The stitching has been eliminated from areas that are prone to rubbing during use, making the thread less likely to break.

The main material inside has been changed to pigskin.
Pigskin is resistant to abrasion and very flexible, so it feels more compact than the previous specification.

You can still take out and insert bills smoothly, just like before.
Using bills as a divider makes it easy to hold receipts as well.

The lining of the card pocket is also made of pigskin, so it feels comfortable from the moment you start using it, and just like before, even if you put more than 10 cards in it, they will still fit neatly.

We use a transparent dyeing process. This means that the natural look of the leather can become more pronounced. We hope you will also enjoy the unique characteristics of each piece of leather.

ミニマルで上質

2年ほど使用しての感想です。

・二つ折りのお札入れよりも薄くてコンパクト
・薄いながらもブッテーロのコシの強さをしっかりと感じられ経年変化も楽しめる
・ステッチが同色のブラックカラーは、より洗練されたビジュアル
・お札へのアクセスがしやすい
・カード入れは1箇所のため重ねて入れることになるが、よく使うカードを一番上か下にするのがスマート。1日に何種類もカードを使う人には向かない
・スナップボタンにより中身が飛び出る心配がない(一時的にレシートを収納する際にも便利)

シンプルでスタイリッシュ

この財布を使ってからかれこれおよそ10年になります。コインケースと併用しています。シンプルな構造ゆえにとても長持ちです。ボタンが摩耗して緩くなった時も、百貨店の催事などでムネカワさんが出店されている時に、ボタンの向きを変えてくださりまたホールド力も復活しました。毎日身につける物なのでどんどん味が出てきてかなり愛着が湧いています。これからもまだまだ使い続けます。
